On the morning of September 9, the Organizing Committee of the 2023 Con Son Cup International Table Tennis Tournament held a draw and divided the groups. The matches began at Hai Duong Sports Gymnasium from 8:00 a.m. on September 10.
The Vietnam national table tennis team under the guidance of coaches Le Huy, Vu Van Trung, expert Yuzhiguo and leading Vietnamese players such as Nguyen Anh Tu, Dinh Anh Hoang, Nguyen Khoa Dieu Khanh, Tran Mai Ngoc... will participate in the tournament.
Notably, the Guangdong table tennis team (China) managed by Mr. Hou Zhixin will bring a series of quality players to the tournament. These players just won 3rd place in the China Youth Championship. In addition to the team manager and 2 coaches, the Guangdong table tennis team will have 10 players participating in the tournament.
Hai Duong table tennis team of head coach Cao Anh Tuan will be divided into 4 teams: Hai Duong 1 men, Hai Duong 2 men, Hai Duong 1 women, Hai Duong 2 women. Hai Duong 1 men's team will consist of 4 players Nguyen Duc Tuan, Doan Ba Tuan Anh, Nguyen Duy Phong, Nguyen Hai Trung. Hai Duong 1 women's team, Hai Duong 2 women's team each has 3 players. Host Hai Duong aims to reach the men's team quarterfinals.
According to the registration list, 7 teams have a total of 57 athletes, participating in 4 events: men's team, women's team, men's singles and women's singles. Host Hai Duong brings the largest squad to the tournament (14 players), followed by Hanoi T&T (11 players); Army, Guangdong (both 10 players); Hanoi, the national team and the Ministry of Public Security with 8, 7 and 5 players respectively.
The 2023 Con Son Cup International Table Tennis Tournament has 7 teams, officially competing from September 10 to 13, at Hai Duong Sports Gymnasium, in 3 time slots: 8:00, 14:00 and 19:30 every day (no competition on the afternoon of September 11). The Organizing Committee opens the door freely to serve the audience.
On September 9, some teams began practicing to get familiar with the field.

Group B: Hai Duong 2, Vietnam team, Army, Hanoi T&T1
