The death toll from a building explosion at the Gulistan shopping mall in Bangladesh's capital Dhaka on March 7 has risen to 15, while more than 100 people were injured.
Hundreds of doctors and nurses were mobilized to treat more than 100 people with head injuries, broken bones and other injuries, according to health officials.
Police said the explosion shook the fourth and fifth floors of the seven-story building. Several floors of the building and walls were damaged. Debris and bricks were thrown onto the crowded street.
A bus driver who was also a victim of the explosion said 30 passengers on his bus were injured as the bus passed the building at the time of the incident.
Police are investigating whether the explosion was an act of sabotage or an accident.
It is known that the above building has dozens of warehouses, bathroom accessories stores and other commercial areas.
