On February 29, Indonesian authorities announced that rescuers had found all nine missing people alive after a landslide that occurred three days ago in South Sulawesi province.
Speaking to reporters, the head of the Makassar search and rescue agency - the capital of South Sulawesi province, Mr. Andi Sultan confirmed that all 9 people were still alive. All have been transferred to the hospital. The authorities have ended the emergency search and rescue operation here.
The landslide occurred in Luwu district, about 340 km from Makassar, the capital of South Sulawesi province, on the morning of February 26. The landslide killed five people and buried many vehicles.
