In recent years, compared to the 110-125cc engine models, the number of unofficially imported Honda Super Cub 50 models imported into the country is much lower due to low demand. Recently, a private enterprise in Ho Chi Minh City has just brought in a batch of Super Cub 50 models imported from Japan.

Compared to the Cub 110 also imported from Japan, the 50cc version is similar in overall design. The vehicle has a simple, classic design inherited from the Super Cub lines of the past such as the headlights and turn signals are all round. The rear lights are rectangular, with curved lines from front to back.

Compared to version 110, the weight of Super Cub 50 version is 5 kg lighter, at 96 kg. The seat height is slightly lower, 735 mm compared to 738 mm. The vehicle's length x width x height is 1,860 x 695 x 1,040 mm.

Honda's license-free model is equipped with 17-inch front/rear spoke wheels and drum brakes. The 110cc version uses cast rims and front brakes with ABS.

Honda Super Cub 50 is equipped with a 4-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, with a real capacity of 49 cc, electronic fuel injection Fi. Compared to the 110 cc version, the power and torque of the 50 cc version are lower, at 3.7 horsepower and 3.8 Nm respectively. The 110 version is 8 horsepower and 8.8 Nm.

According to Honda, when moving with one person, the 50cc Super Cub can run about 105 km with one liter of gasoline at a stable speed of 30 km/h, meaning fuel consumption is only about 1 liter/100 km.

In the private import market, the price of the Honda Super Cub 50 imported from Japan is not uniform, transactions are not less than 80 million VND. This price is equivalent to the Super Cub 110 imported from Thailand.

The selling price of the Super Cub 50 imported from Japan is quite high in Vietnam due to the limited supply, high import tax and historical value of this vehicle line. The genuine 50cc scooters and motorbikes of Kymco and SYM sold on the market cost less than 30 million VND, mainly for students who do not have a driver's license or housewives who take their children to school. However, with this Super Cub 50 imported from Japan, the customer base is not large, usually people with strong finances, who like to collect and love nostalgic values.
