In December, Honda cooperated with dealers to reduce prices of many cars by offering preferential registration fees or cash.
As usual, after each preferential registration fee period of the Government ends, purchasing power often slows down because customer demand is mostly focused on the previous period. Honda and many other car manufacturers such as Ford, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Subaru... continue to maintain incentives to maintain the pace as well as accelerate sales for the 2 months before Lunar New Year.
In December, Honda and its dealers reduced the price of a series of cars by offering preferential registration fees or cash. Leading the reduction is the Honda Accord with 250 million VND in cash, bringing the car price down to 1.069 billion VND.
City, a B-class sedan and Honda's flagship product in Vietnam, has a 50% discount on registration fees. With a price of 499-574 million VND, customers can save about 25-28 million VND on road costs. Honda applies a 10% registration fee discount, regardless of the location where the license plate is registered.
Honda's second best-selling model, the CR-V, is offered a 50% discount on registration fees by dealers, except for the hybrid version. With accessories added, the price of the car is reduced by about 100 million VND, starting at about 900 million VND for the standard version. In the C-size CUV segment, the CR-V is the only model of the Japanese brand with a price starting at more than 1 billion VND for the lowest version.
BR-V L version priced at 705 million VND and HR-V G version priced at 699 million VND both have a 50% discount on registration fees. The reduction in rolling costs for both is about 35 million VND.
After 10 months, Honda sold 21,260 vehicles, up 23% over the same period in 2023. Among the models, City was the best-selling with 7,741 vehicles, accounting for 36% of the market share.
