Banking Academy reduces admission based on graduation exam scores

Banking Academy plans to recruit 45% of its target based on high school graduation exam scores, a 5% decrease compared to last year, and increase the use of competency assessment exam results.

On February 15, the Banking Academy announced its expected enrollment plan for 2025. Accordingly, the school will enroll about 3,600 students, an increase of more than 100 compared to last year.

Admission methods remain stable, including: direct admission, based on high school academic results (20%), international certificates (15%), results of competency assessment exams (20%), and high school graduation exam scores (45%).

Withdirect admissionIn addition to candidates who won first, second, or third prizes in national or international science and technology competitions for excellent students, the school will consider direct admission of candidates with disabilities, ethnic minorities with very few people, candidates from poor districts, and foreigners based on their high school academic results.

In methodhigh school transcript reviewCandidates must have good academic performance in grade 12, with an average score of 8 or higher for each subject in the admission group over the three years.

When calculating admission scores, for standard and international joint programs, common subjects between groups are multiplied by a factor of 2. For high-quality programs, Math and English in the group are multiplied by a factor of 2.

Candidates will be awarded priority points according to the Ministry's regulations, along with incentive points from 0.5 to 1.5 if they win an incentive prize for national excellent students, provincial prizes, or specialized students. Candidates in many categories can accumulate incentive points, but the maximum is 2 points.

Banking Academy continuesinternational certificate reviewCandidates applying through this method must have excellent academic performance in grade 12, an average score of 8 or higher in three years of high school for each subject in the combination, and a certificate of SAT 1,200, IELTS 6.0, TOEFL iBT 72 or higher.

In which, the requirement of academic transcript is a condition. Admission score will be calculated based on certificate score.

With methodbased on competency assessment exams, Banking Academy uses the V-SAT university entrance exam and the Hanoi National University Aptitude Test (HSA). Candidates can apply if they have an HSA score of 85 or higher, and a V-SAT score of 300 or higher in three subjects in the combination.

Admission scores for all methods are converted to a 30-point scale according to the formula specified by the school.

Tuition fees at Banking Academy are expected to be around 26.5 - 28 million VND per year for the standard program and 40 million VND for the high-quality program, an increase of 1.5 - 3 million VND compared to last year.

For international joint programs, students must pay 340-380 million VND for the entire 4-year course, which can be higher if they choose to study the final year abroad.
