The school uses four admission methods, three of which are similar to last year: direct admission and priority admission; consideration of excellent students with first, second, or third prizes in math, physics, chemistry, or English at the provincial level or higher, or with international certificates such as IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, or ACT; and consideration of high school graduation exam scores.
The new method applied this year is to consider admission based on the results of the competency assessment exam of Hanoi National University and Ho Chi Minh City National University.
The school's admission combination is A00 (math, physics, chemistry) and A01 (math, physics, English). Admission scores are divided by region (south, north) and gender.
To apply for admission to a military school, students must go through a preliminary round at the Military Command of the district where they have registered their permanent residence. The Military Technical Academy said the expected registration date is March 15.
