On the afternoon of January 11, the Hai Duong Provincial Journalists Association deployed its tasks for 2024. At the conference, the issue of supporting members to keep up with the trend of digital transformation of journalism was raised.

In 2024, the association will focus on orienting members to effectively propagate the implementation of the Resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels and the 11th Congress of the Vietnam Journalists Association. Continue to promote the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style through branch and club activities. Build a cultural environment in press agencies and the culture of journalists. The association will well organize table tennis, badminton, chess tournaments and field trips to exchange professional knowledge. Strive to organize 2 training sessions to help members improve their professional skills. Coordinate with relevant departments, branches and sectors to well organize the Nguyen Luong Bang Journalism Award in 2024.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Manh Thang, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, suggested that in 2024, the Provincial Journalists Association proactively coordinate with the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Department of Information and Communications to advise on topics to effectively carry out monthly press conferences; pay attention to grasping the thoughts and aspirations of members, including on social networks, to have a clear ideological orientation. Gather and attract many resident reporters to participate in association activities. In 2024, the Provincial Journalists Association needs to actively improve the professional skills of its members to keep up with the trend of digital transformation of journalism, and improve skills in applying information technology to serve work.

In 2023, the Provincial Journalists Association organized many activities to care for the lives of its members. It encouraged members to participate in central and local journalism awards, and many members won high prizes. Typically, the Hai Duong Newspaper Journalists Association had 1 work winning an encouragement prize and 1 work entering the final round of the National Journalism Award; 1 work won the C prize of the 7th National Journalism Award on Party Building (Golden Hammer and Sickle Award) in 2022... Many authors have received financial support from the Provincial Journalists Association to produce quality journalism works...
