Oppo has just revealed its world's thinnest folding smartphone with a thickness of only about 4 mm when opened.
Oppo is set to launch its high-end foldable phone Find N5 in February. In the image shared by the company, the product when opened is only about 4 mm thick, half the thickness of the iPhone 16 Pro Max, which measures 8.25 mm. This thickness is only slightly thinner than a USB-C port.
Previously, Oppo also compared the Find N5 to two Chinese coins and a stack of four ID cards. The product is also thinner than Apple's thinnest device, the iPad Pro M4 (5.1 mm).
Oppo Find N5 is expected to be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, 16 GB RAM and up to 1 TB of internal memory. The device has a 6.4-inch external screen, an 8-inch foldable screen inside with the same 2K resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate. The battery has a capacity of 5,700 mAh, supports 80 W fast charging and 50 W wireless charging.
Currently, the title of thinnest folding smartphone belongs to Honor Magic V3 with a size of 4.35 mm.
