19-year-old defender sinks Tottenham

Bournemouth have surprised by beating title contenders Arsenal and Man City in their last three home games. Against Tottenham, Andoni Iraola's side once again showed how tough they are. They rarely let their opponents intimidate them and could have won by a bigger margin if they had taken their chances.

Despite the stalemate, Postecoglou did not make any substitutions in the first half. It was not until the 57th minute that he brought Son on for Pape Sarr to increase the pressure. The South Korean star needed just two minutes after entering the field to put the ball in the net, but the goal was ruled out for offside.

In the 72nd minute, for the third time in the match, the referee overturned a goal for offside. This time, he denied Evanilson's close-range shot.

In the final minutes, Bournemouth continued to waste opportunities, while Tottenham could not create a surprise. With a 1-0 victory, Bournemouth surpassed Tottenham to climb to ninth on the scoreboard.

Meanwhile, Tottenham continue to show an inconsistent performance. They crushed Man City right at the Etihad in round 12, but that was the only victory for Postecoglou's team in the last four matches. This weekend, Tottenham will return home to host Chelsea.
