The decision is to ensure the safety of passengers and crew against potential risks.

Algeria's Air Algerie has suspended flights to and from Lebanon until further notice. India's national carrier Air India has also suspended scheduled flights to and from Tel Aviv until further notice.

Air France announced on September 17 that due to the security situation at its destinations, it will suspend flights from Charles de Gaulle airport to Beirut and Tel Aviv until September 19. The French airline stressed that the safety of its customers and crew is its highest priority.

German airline Lufthansa also announced the decision to suspend all flights to and from Tel Aviv and Tehran until September 19. Ryanair, Europe's largest low-cost airline, has also canceled flights to and from Tel Aviv until October 26.

Similarly, Spanish low-cost carrier IAG, owned by IAG Vueling, has canceled operations to Tel Aviv until January 12, 2025. Additionally, flights to Jordan's capital Amman have also been canceled until further notice.

Polish national airline LOT has suspended flights to Lebanon until further notice. However, flights to Tel Aviv are still operating regularly.

The UK has advised its airlines to avoid Lebanese airspace between August 8 and November 4, citing “potential risks to aviation due to military activities”. British budget airline Easyjet suspended flights to and from Tel Aviv in April and will not resume them until March 30, 2025.

Meanwhile, US airline United Airlines has also temporarily suspended flights to Tel Aviv for the near future due to security reasons.

In Asia, Hong Kong (China)-based airline Cathay Pacific has also canceled all flights to Tel Aviv until March 27, 2025.

The situation in the Middle East continues to be tense after a series of pagers and walkie-talkies exploded in Lebanon and Syria, causing many casualties, including many members of the Hezbollah force in Lebanon. According to Lebanese health officials, the pager and walkie-talkie explosions have killed at least 37 people in the past two days, including two children, and injured about 3,000. Hezbollah blamed Israel and vowed to respond. After the pagers and walkie-talkies exploded in Lebanon, Hezbollah announced that it had launched rocket attacks on Israeli outposts in the border area with Lebanon.

Meanwhile, on September 19, Israel deployed a series of fighter jets to carry out fierce airstrikes against Hezbollah bases in Lebanon. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant affirmed that he would continue to increase military actions against Hezbollah.
