Hai Duong exceeds target of implementing campaign "Million steps of charity"

According to the provincial Red Cross Society, after nearly 2 months of responding to the campaign, Hai Duong had about 1,100 people participating in running nearly 24,000 km, exceeding the target set by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society by 100 people and 14,000 km, corresponding to an amount of 120 million VND to support beneficial activities for the community.

The campaign was organized by the Vietnam Red Cross Central Committee in coordination with FPT Online Services Joint Stock Company, launched nationwide from February 25 to April 21. Participants install the vRace application on mobile devices such as smartphones, smartwatches, etc. This application will actively record the distance that participants walk or run. Each kilometer corresponds to 5,000 VND to support the program of building boarding kitchens, supporting livelihoods, etc. for disadvantaged people in Dien Bien, Son La, and Thai Nguyen provinces. This is a practical activity to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024) and Humanitarian Month 2024.

Previously, at the end of March, the Provincial Red Cross Society and Hai Duong Central College of Pharmacy coordinated to launch a response to the campaign.
