On the morning of May 21, the Provincial People's Committee held its 3rd monthly meeting. Comrade Luu Van Ban, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, the Provincial People's Committee listened to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment report on adjusting land allocation targets in the province.

Regarding this content, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Luu Van Ban, basically agreed to report to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, and requested the Department to receive and coordinate with the Office of the People's Committee to complete the report so that the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee can submit it to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee. The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that localities update the indicators of the Housing and Land Development Program to adjust the Urban Planning and Construction Planning to submit to competent authorities for appraisal and approval. Consider prioritizing the allocation of land indicators for specialized economic zones; large projects such as Thanh Long Lake, Ben Tam Lake and key projects of Hai Duong City, key projects of other regions have been directed by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.

Based on the adjusted data of the Housing Development Program for the period 2021-2030, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment proposed that the additional residential land target for the period 2020-2030 for the whole province is 1,923 hectares, a decrease of 396 hectares (pure residential land) compared to the allocation of district-level land use targets in Decision No. 109/QD-UBND of the People's Committee.

The remaining unallocated land area in the province will be 1,316 hectares, expected to be allocated to projects and works: Ben Tam Lake Eco-tourism Area (Chi Linh) 90 hectares; commercial and service land (Binh Giang) 30 hectares; logistics land (Ninh Giang) 30 hectares; water puppetry cultural conservation area, traditional craft villages (Ninh Giang) about 100 hectares; Thanh Long Lake project (Chi Linh) 500 hectares; Mam Xoi mountain renovation and restoration project and the lake north of Kiep Bac temple 14 hectares; Ngu Dai pagoda expansion 5 hectares.

The remaining area of ​​about 547 hectares is expected to supplement land quotas for support projects (housing, commercial services...) in specialized economic zones (Binh Giang, Thanh Mien).
