At 1 p.m. on September 16, the water level on the Thai Binh River at Pha Lai was 3.73 m, 0.27 m below alert level I, at Cat Khe it was 3.34 m, 0.16 m below alert level I. The Kinh Thay River at Ben Binh had a water level of 2.95 m, 0.55 m below alert level II.
The Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue requested the Steering Committees of Tu Ky, Kim Thanh, Thanh Ha, Cam Giang, and Nam Sach districts to organize patrols and guard the dikes on the dikes of the Thai Binh river system at alert level I (except for the level IV dike on the right of Thai Binh in Tu Ky district, the Ha Dong area dike in Thanh Ha district, and the Kinh Mon river dike on the left in Kinh Mon town). Closely monitor the progress of dike works, especially embankments, culverts, dikes close to the river, the foot of the dike is a lagoon, pond, and low-lying field to promptly detect and handle any damage to the dike and irrigation works from the first hour. Check and evaluate the dike incidents that have been handled and if they are not safe, fix them to ensure flood safety, continue to closely monitor and promptly handle any unsafe developments.
Hai Duong Irrigation Works Exploitation One Member Co., Ltd., Bac Hung Hai, in coordination with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of districts, cities and towns, strictly implement the pumping and drainage according to the direction of the Provincial People's Committee and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
