The mother left her daughter with a woman in Long Bien district to look after her, then she received news that her daughter was hospitalized and died.
The leader of Long Bien District Police (Hanoi) said that the unit is coordinating with relevant agencies to organize a crime scene investigation and autopsy to clarify the cause of death of the 5-month-old girl.
Sharing on social media, Ms. Q. (in Giang Bien ward, Long Bien district) said that her whole family is in a state of panic and grief over her daughter's death.
According to Ms. Q., due to her busy work, she joined childcare groups on social networks to find someone to help take care of her child. She saw a woman named NTN in Tram Street (Long Bien Ward, Long Bien District) who was willing to take care of a child, so she contacted her and asked her to help take care of her daughter NDC (5 months old).
During the conversation, Ms. N. introduced herself as a preschool teacher and sent some pictures of the children she was taking care of at home. At the same time, N. informed about the babysitting price of 150,000 VND/day and 250,000 VND/night.
Ms. Q. then sent her child to the nanny according to the agreed price. On the morning of February 16, the mother asked N. if her daughter had cried the night before, and N. said that the girl had woken up twice and was given milk by N.
At around 11am the same day, Ms. N. suddenly informed that her daughter C. had to go to the emergency room. The mother rushed to the hospital to check on her daughter and learned that her daughter had passed away. Immediately afterwards, Ms. Q. and her family reported it to the Long Bien District authorities.
According to Ms. Q., before leaving her child with Ms. N., her daughter was completely healthy. The fact that her daughter was suddenly hospitalized and then passed away made her family suspicious. Ms. Q. and her family are waiting for the results of the investigation by the authorities.
