On September 29, the Vietnam Culinary Culture Association (VCCA) held a ceremony to award certificates to 121 typical culinary dishes in phase I - 2022 and announced phase II - 2023 of the Project "Building and developing Vietnamese culinary culture into a national brand". Hai Duong has 3 dishes that were awarded certificates: rice rolls, green bean cakes and crab cakes.
These are dishes that are loved by Hai Duong people as well as many tourists from all over the world because of their unique preparation methods, rich, traditional flavors. Some dishes have been exported abroad.
Previously, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Duong had submitted a dossier to the Vietnam Culinary Culture Association to recognize these three dishes and all three dishes were awarded certificates. This is the second time that Hai Duong has had a dish awarded a certificate by this organization.
