Hai Duong lets students stay home to avoid storm number 3

The Hai Duong Department of Education and Training has directed schools to let students stay home on Saturday, September 7 to prevent storm No. 3 (super storm Yagi).

On the afternoon of September 6, the Department of Education and Training of Hai Duong directed schools to let students take the day off tomorrow, Saturday, September 7. Schools will arrange make-up classes at appropriate times to ensure the successful implementation of the school year schedule.

Faced with the complicated and unpredictable developments of storm No. 3, the Department of Education and Training of Hai Duong requested schools to strictly implement Official Dispatch No. 86/CD-TTg dated September 3, 2024 of the Prime Minister on urgently implementing response to storm No. 3 in 2024; Official Dispatch No. 1170/CD-BGDĐT dated September 4, 2024 of the Ministry of Education and Training on proactively responding to storm No. 3 and Official Dispatch No. 05/CD-PCTT&TKCN of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue of Hai Duong province on responding to storm No. 3 in Hai Duong province.

Departments of Education and Training, schools, and centers closely monitor the developments of storm No. 3, develop plans, and promptly relocate assets, machinery, equipment, tables, chairs, records, and books to safe places to ensure no damage, breakage, or loss, and minimize damage caused by the storm.

Implement 24/7 storm and flood prevention. Maintain regular contact with local authorities and rescue forces to promptly respond in case of incidents, implementing the "4 on-site" motto. Have a plan for coordination and response to prevent complicated developments. Regularly monitor the developments of storm No. 3 on the media.

Urgently repair damage; clean and sanitize classrooms immediately after storms to ensure safety, cleanliness, and disease prevention to prepare for the new school year. Units strictly implement the information and reporting regime on storm prevention work. Continuously update information and report emerging situations and unusual incidents for timely direction and handling.
