Hai Duong pays social assistance in 2 ways

The People's Committee of Hai Duong province has just decided to implement two methods of paying social assistance to people in the community who are eligible for social protection. First, payment through the bank account or electronic payment account of the beneficiary, guardian, or authorized person to receive assistance. Second, payment in cash for those who are unable to receive assistance through a bank account or electronic payment account.

These two payment methods help Hai Duong flexibly and effectively pay support to people under social protection, avoiding inconvenience and difficulties, creating conditions for them to enjoy the social security policies of the province and the State in a timely manner. In the process of implementing the above payment methods, the Provincial People's Committee encourages people under protection to overcome difficulties in receiving money through bank accounts to achieve the goal of digital transformation and expand non-cash payment methods.

Hai Duong currently has about 37,000 meritorious people and about 80,000 people under social protection receiving monthly assistance; nearly 2,000 elderly people are eligible to receive assistance according to Resolution 01/2022/NQ-HDND of the Provincial People's Council.
