Investing more than 379.3 billion VND to build the Social Protection Center of Hai Duong province

The People's Committee of Hai Duong province has a document requesting a decision on the investment policy for the project to build the Hai Duong Provincial Social Protection Center (new location), presented at the 15th Session of the 17th Hai Duong Provincial People's Council held on the afternoon of June 2.

The report clearly states that this is a Group B project invested by the Hai Duong Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board. The project will be implemented in Nam Hong and An Son communes (both in Nam Sach district, Hai Duong province).

Accordingly, the Hai Duong Provincial Social Protection Center at the new location will serve 750 subjects by 2025, and 1,000 subjects by 2030, ensuring facilities to meet the requirements for caring for the elderly, children, and people with disabilities; meeting the needs for access and enjoyment of social assistance services, care, and nurturing for subjects in especially difficult circumstances and vulnerable subjects...

The planned land area for construction is 6.88 hectares, including: leveling, internal roads (including roads connecting to roads in the area), trees, aquarium, lake; drainage and water supply system; electricity system, transformer station; wastewater treatment system; fire prevention and fighting system...

Investment items include administrative buildings, meeting halls, social work, healthcare, rehabilitation; school buildings for children to learn culture, learn vocational skills, display products, and long-term foster children; long-term foster areas for the elderly and disabled; technical and auxiliary areas; and equipment procurement.

The total expected investment is more than 379.3 billion VND from the provincial budget in the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021-2025. Of which, the construction cost is more than 220.3 billion VND, the cost of compensation for site clearance is more than 35.8 billion VND and other costs. The project implementation period is in the period 2023-2025.

In its review report on this content, the Economic and Budget Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Council said that the project was determined to be consistent with the province's social security network development plan, the planning and land use plan of Nam Sach district. The Economic and Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council agreed to the investment policy of this project.
