Defeating the Netherlands, Germany won a ticket to the quarter-finals of the Nations League

At home at the Allianz Arena on the evening of October 14, Germany started off dominating the Netherlands. The Netherlands played better after conceding the goal. They started to cause trouble for the German goal from the 76th minute, but Xavi Simons' long-range shot hit the crossbar.

The presence of Donyell Malen in the second half also helped the Netherlands improve. In the 90th minute, the Dortmund winger almost equalized when he shot from 18 meters into the near corner, forcing goalkeeper Oliver Baumann to make a reflex save.

In the final minutes, Germany successfully defended their 1-0 victory. Nagelsmann's team currently leads Nations League A Group 3 with 10 points after four games, five points ahead of the Netherlands and Hungary. Bosnia & Herzegovina is bottom with one point. With the Netherlands and Hungary still playing each other, Germany have secured their place in the quarter-finals with two games to spare.
