Welcoming Getafe in the quarter-finals of the 2024/25 Spanish King's Cup, coach Diego Simeone fielded a strong lineup with the striker duo Julian Alvarez - Antoine Griezmann. However, the biggest highlight belonged to his son Giuliano Simeone.

It took only 8 minutes for the home team at Metropolitano to open the scoring. The scorer was none other than Giuliano Simeone after an assist from Javi Galan.

9 minutes later, it was De Paul's turn to assist the son of the Atletico captain to complete his own double.

In the 42nd minute, Alvarez passed the ball to Samuel Lino, who skillfully dribbled the ball and shot diagonally, putting Atletico up 3-0.

Giuliano almost had a hat-trick early in the second half but he scored from an offside position. His chance of a hat-trick ended when he was substituted by his father in the 61st minute.

In the remaining time, Atletico played leisurely but still had 2 more goals by Angel Correa and Alexander Sorloth, securing a 5-0 victory, thereby winning a ticket to the semi-finals of the King's Cup.
