Maintain environmental hygiene during Tet

In order to strengthen environmental protection during the 2024 Lunar New Year, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment requests departments, branches, associations, unions, socio-political organizations and district-level People's Committees to strengthen propaganda, raise awareness and consciousness of people in maintaining environmental sanitation, especially during the period before and after Tet. Request the district-level People's Committee to assign the Youth Union, associations, unions and local units to arrange and disseminate propaganda to people about fish release points, waste collection points after fish release, and places to burn votive papers and worship items according to regulations to ensure environmental sanitation and fire prevention and fighting safety.

The district-level People's Committee shall arrange and organize forces to promptly receive and process information, proactively prevent and mobilize resources to organize the handling and remediation of environmental pollution (if any) quickly and effectively. Coordinate in response, remediation and damage minimization in case of incidents; proactively monitor and closely supervise large waste sources.
