According to the witness, airstrikes also occurred continuously in Sudan.

Sudanese Health Minister Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim announced on April 21 that about 60 people were killed and more than 200 others were injured on the first day of Eid al-Fitr in the country.

The Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) previously announced that they had agreed to a three-day ceasefire, starting on April 21, to allow Sudanese people to celebrate the Eid al-Fitr festival, the end of the fasting month of Ramadan.

In a related development, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced on the same day that the US military is preparing as many options as possible to evacuate citizens from the US Embassy in Sudan, but no decision has been made yet.

Speaking at a press conference at Ramstein Air Base in Germany, Mr. Austin said the US military had sent some forces to the area in case an evacuation of US citizens took place.
