Director Diep Chi also revealed that Who Wants to Be a Millionaire in 2021 will have many new changes. From January 5, the program will be broadcast with a new brand identity with the main color tone being dark purple. This is a product made by the team of Sony Pictures Television from the UK, which holds the international copyright of the program "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire". A system of 8 new computers, pre-installed with the program's copyrighted software, has also been transferred from the UK to Vietnam and installed online by VTV staff under the close supervision of foreign experts.

This plan was supposed to be implemented in early 2020, with experts coming directly to Vietnam to carry out the work, but due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the plan had to be postponed and the steps had to be carried out online. The work took place from September to December 2020 when the VTV3 production team started filming the first batch of programs to be broadcast in early 2021.

The stage, which has been familiar for over 15 years on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, has been given a fresh makeover with a large, moving logo display screen, creating a vivid visual effect. This design has appeared in many versions of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire from countries such as England, Chile, the Netherlands, etc.

The first two players of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" 2021 are famous travel blogger Tran Dang Dang Khoa and the 19th Road to Olympia Champion Tran The Trung.

The first player of the new year is the famous Travel Blogger Tran Dang Dang Khoa, who has spent 1111 days traveling the world by motorbike, through 65 countries and territories. Will his knowledge and rich experiences on the roads help Dang Khoa conquer the question of how many, that is what the audience will be very curious about.

Also in this first recording session, we welcomed another special player, the 19th Road to Olympia Champion Tran The Trung.

In the history of the show, no player has ever passed question number 15. The person with the highest score to date is a construction engineer named Le Anh.

In the program on September 9, 2008, Le Anh passed question 14, continued to question 15 and was not sure of the answer so he chose to stop playing (even though the answer he deduced was correct).
