The "Binh Phuoc Marathon - Truong Tuoi Group 1st time, 2023" promises many interesting experiences

On the afternoon of November 15, at Binh Phuoc Radio - Television and Newspaper (BPTV), a press conference took place before the first "Binh Phuoc Marathon - Truong Tuoi Group 2023" tournament.

The tournament is hosted by BPTV, in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Binh Phuoc Provincial Youth Union, Phuoc Long Town People's Committee, and Thac Mo Hydropower Joint Stock Company. Truong Tuoi Group Joint Stock Company is the main sponsor of the tournament.

The press conference was chaired by: Provincial Party Committee member, Director - Editor-in-Chief of BPTV Nguyen Thi Minh Nham, Head of the Organizing Committee; Mr. Do Lam Sinh, member of the Board of Directors of Truong Tuoi Group; Mr. Le Van Duong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietrace365 Joint Stock Company.

Attending the press conference were: Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Mac Dinh Huan, representatives of leaders of a number of relevant departments, agencies and branches; members of the Organizing Committee, sponsors, ambassadors of the award and many journalists from press agencies inside and outside the province.

The press conference was livestreamed on the digital infrastructure of BPTV and the tournament organizing committee.

More than 2,200 athletes registered to participate

The "Binh Phuoc Marathon - Truong Tuoi Group 1st time, 2023" is the first marathon organized on the largest scale ever in Binh Phuoc province.

With the message “The Run of Champions”, the tournament attracts more than 2,200 athletes from 45 provinces and cities nationwide and 47 runners from many countries and territories living and working in Vietnam. The tournament will be very exciting with more than 2,000 runners responding and cheering.

In particular, participating in the tournament, athletes can run and interact with the 3 ambassadors of the tournament: "Vietnam Marathon King" Hoang Nguyen Thanh; typical athlete, bronze medalist of SEA Games 31 Hoang Thi Ngoc Hoa and Miss Grand Vietnam 2022 Doan Thien An.

According to information from the Organizing Committee, the "Binh Phuoc Marathon - Truong Tuoi Group 1st time, 2023" has 4 competition events, including distances: 5km, 10km, 25km and 42km.

In addition, for athletes competing in the 25km distance, the Organizing Committee will calculate the achievements for the top 3 male/female athletes who first reach the 21km mark.

In the 42km marathon and 25km half marathon, athletes are divided into 2 groups: professional and amateur.

The 5km and 10km distances are open to both professionals and amateurs.

The tournament was organized with the hope that athletes would have the opportunity to set foot in Phuoc Long town, Binh Phuoc province, not only to feel the beautiful nature, experience the source of historical and cultural relics but also enjoy specialties and dishes prepared "very Binh Phuoc".

The organizers also designed a unique running route. The 5km, 10km, 25km and 42km distances all start and finish at the same location, forming a closed loop. This helps runners stay excited and experience new running routes.

The prize structure is also very attractive, divided into professional and amateur categories for the 25km and 42km distances.

The Organizing Committee will also award prizes to clubs/teams/groups with the largest number of registered members; age group prizes for amateur athletes competing in the 42km and 21km distances.

For the 25km distance, the Organizing Committee also awarded prizes to the top 3 male/female athletes who first reached the 21km mark. The total cash prize value is up to nearly 400 million VND.

The organizers will donate 20,000 VND/person to support forest conservation and development activities and the animal protection fund of Bu Gia Map National Park. This is also the highlight of the race for a green environment.

Ensuring athletes compete at their best

At the press conference, reporters and journalists had a number of questions for the Organizing Committee about the running distance, the running route, the preparation of resting places when the race gathers a large number of athletes; the preparation of lighting when athletes start early; accommodation service prices, issues related to environmental protection, etc.

The opinions and suggestions of reporters and journalists are acknowledged and satisfactorily answered by the Organizing Committee based on careful calculations, both demonstrating professionalism and ensuring the safety of athletes to best complete the competition journey.

Clarifying some of the contents that reporters and journalists mentioned related to volunteer work and environmental protection, Director - Editor-in-Chief of BPTV, Head of the Organizing Committee Nguyen Thi Minh Nham hopes that through this race, reporters and journalists will promote and spread beautiful images of people and natural landscapes of Phuoc Long town, Binh Phuoc province. At the same time, spread to everyone the spirit of loving sports, loving running, living positively for a healthy community.

Each athlete will be a tourism ambassador for Binh Phuoc, promoting the beautiful image and typical products of Binh Phuoc - the revolutionary homeland, where the famous "Pestle sound on Bom Bo village" is known to domestic and international friends.
