On December 15, a representative of the Pham Kha Commune Agricultural Service Cooperative (Thanh Mien) said that the prices of many types of spices and vegetables have decreased sharply compared to last month.

Coriander prices down 50% from last month

Specifically, coriander costs 10,000 VND/kg, onions 15,000 VND/kg, dill 7,000 VND/kg, basil 18,000 VND/kg, tomatoes 7,000 VND/kg... All of the above vegetables and fruits have decreased by 10,000-12,000 VND/kg compared to last month. With this selling price, farmers only earn a profit of over 1 million VND/sao.

The reason for the sharp drop in vegetable prices is due to the warm weather, making it difficult to transport vegetables and spices over long distances. The current consumption market is not favorable due to competition with many other growing regions.

Pham Kha commune has a total of 288 hectares of agricultural land. This is one of the localities with the largest area for growing spices in the province with 162 hectares mainly growing spices. The value of this year's winter crop in Pham Kha commune is estimated at 130-150 million VND/ha.
