Hai Duong's first quarter export value increased by 7.3%

Some export items with high value increase include electric wires and cables (up 34.2%), electronic components and office machines (up 21.3%). Goods are mainly exported to Korea, Japan, and the European Union (EU).

The value of imported goods in the first quarter is estimated at 1 billion 980 million USD, up 13.5% over the same period in 2024. Imported goods are mainly raw materials for production such as electronics and electronic components (up 28.3%), raw materials for garment and footwear (up 23.2%), and garment fabrics up 15.1%.

The Department of Industry and Trade has closely monitored the situation, improved its forecasting capabilities, provided information and market signals to help businesses, organizations and individuals quickly grasp market developments to adjust production and business activities appropriately, maintain stability and expand export markets. Focus on promoting trade promotion activities for key markets, exploiting free trade agreements, especially new-generation free trade agreements such as the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), the Vietnam - EU Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP)...

In the coming time, the Department of Industry and Trade of Hai Duong will continue to do a good job of granting certificates of origin (CO) to enterprises and promote support for enterprises to take advantage of commitments in free trade agreements to promote export growth.

Support businesses in organizing meetings with trade counselors in major markets and key foreign markets to regularly update market information. Disseminate knowledge about international economic integration to local businesses to maximize the advantages from 17 free trade agreements that Vietnam has signed with over 60 countries and territories.
