The proposal to build larger police headquarters in Hong Hung and Hoang Dieu communes aims to meet the population development needs of the localities in the coming time.
Gia Loc district is temporary stop of construction and repair 17 commune police headquarters are awaiting instructions and guidance from superiors on merging communes and wards. Only the Gia Loc town police headquarters continues to be built.
Gia Loc district also plans to continue implementing commune-level police headquarters in 7 communes not subject to merger, including: Yet Kieu, Thong Nhat, Thong Kenh, Le Loi, Pham Tran, Hong Hung, and Hoang Dieu.
Based on the provisions of the Project "Investment in construction of commune-level police headquarters in the province in the period of 2021-2025", there are 2 headquarters with facilities meeting the needs of 10-15 soldiers in Yet Kieu and Thong Nhat communes; 5 headquarters with facilities meeting the needs of 7-10 soldiers, with a total construction cost of over 55.7 billion VND. However, based on the expected population growth from Gia Loc industrial park, the District People's Committee proposed the Provincial People's Committee to consider building police headquarters in Hoang Dieu and Hong Hung communes with a capacity for 10-15 officers and soldiers, with an additional cost of 5.5 billion VND.
