This year's winter-spring rice crop, the price of machine harvesting services in some places in Hai Duong province decreased slightly compared to the winter-spring crop.
In Dinh Son commune (Cam Giang), the price of machine harvesting service is from 130,000-140,000 VND/sao, a decrease of 10,000-20,000 VND/sao compared to the previous crop. The price of machine harvesting service combined with land preparation in Bac An commune (Chi Linh city) is on average about 250,000 VND/sao, a decrease of 20,000-30,000 VND/sao...
After storm No. 3, many rice fields of farmers in the province were affected and damaged. Some harvester owners reduced service prices to support people.
However, the price of harvester service in many localities remains the same as the previous crop. In An Thanh commune (Tu Ky), Ung Hoe (Ninh Giang), Nam Sach town... it is from 140,000-150,000 VND/sao; a few places have higher prices such as Tien Tien commune (Hai Duong city) at 200,000 VND/sao.
Harvester owners explained that fuel prices remain high while machinery frequently breaks down, costing a lot of money in repairs and maintenance.
According to the synthesis of the provincial Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection, as of October 15, the whole province had harvested 38,778 hectares, of which the machine-harvested rice area was 36,788 hectares, accounting for 94.8%.
A small area of rice was completely destroyed by storm No. 3, so it could not be harvested by machine.
