According to a quick report from 46 provinces and cities, nearly 6 million children received gifts (scholarships, cakes, candies, milk, books, clothes, bicycles, etc.) on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, with a total amount of more than 370 billion VND. Of which, the state budget was over 10.5 billion VND, and social contributions were over 360 billion VND. The Vietnam Children's Fund mobilized and supported 22,916 children with a total amount of more than 20 billion VND on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival and the new school year 2023 - 2024.

To ensure children's right to play and entertainment, some localities have organized a series of festivals and "Vietnamese Mid-Autumn Festival" experience spaces for children and tourists with activities to experience traditional arts, folk games and cuisine such as calligraphy, making figurines, making star lanterns, making moon cakes, smashing clay pots, blindfolded duck catching, tug of war...

To ensure safe and practical festival, cultural, tourism and entertainment activities during the Mid-Autumn Festival, the National Committee for Children and the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs have issued many official dispatches directing the organization and ensuring safety to prevent accidents and injuries for children during the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2023.

The management of children's toys and ensuring food hygiene and safety continues to receive attention and strict management. From the beginning, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Industry and Trade have closely directed the assurance of food hygiene and safety during the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Specifically, the Ministry of Health requested localities to carry out inspections and examinations of establishments producing, processing, and trading moon cakes, confectionery, soft drinks, and traditional foods produced in craft villages and small-scale establishments.

Concerned that toys and foods of unknown origin and poor quality could be harmful to children's health, families have sought out addresses with clear business registration and reputation to buy Mid-Autumn Festival goods, guiding their children to choose traditional toys, especially handmade toys of domestic origin.
