Nearly 15 sao of rice fields in Thanh Mien had to be abandoned due to being plowed and polluted.

Nearly 15 sao of rice fields owned by Mr. Truong Mau De and Mr. Pham Van San, both in Dong Gung area, Tho Truong village, Lam Son commune, Thanh Mien district (Hai Duong), had to be abandoned due to being plowed and polluted with acidic mud.

The reason the above-mentioned rice field area is being abandoned is because it was lent as a construction site for package No. 61, construction and installation of the transmission line from VT245 to VT260, part of the 500 kV transmission line project of Nam Dinh I-Pho Noi Thermal Power Plant, but the site has not been returned.

The current state of the field is deformed due to the mechanical construction process and polluted by acidic mud, construction material waste, waste machine oil, etc. The entire 14 sao 12 thuoc field cannot be cultivated as before.

In the minutes dated March 13, 2024, the construction unit is Duc Ha Logistics Investment and Trading Company Limited (in My Hao, Hung Yen) committed to temporarily borrowing the above-mentioned rice field as a construction site until June 30, 2024; if it is extended, it will be responsible for additional compensation... Also according to the agreement, the site will be returned to its original condition upon completion of construction.

However, although the time to borrow land for construction purposes was extended to mid-July 2024, causing the 2024 summer-autumn rice planting season to be delayed, the construction unit did not fulfill its commitment. Up to now, Duc Ha Logistics Investment and Trading Company Limited has not restored the current status and officially returned the borrowed rice field as committed in the written document.

Contacting the phone number of the construction unit representative provided by Mr. De and Mr. San, this person replied that he was not authorized to answer and needed to contact the parent company.

The entire rice field of nearly 15 sao was abandoned due to being plowed and polluted with acidic mud.

The construction of the line construction project from VT245 to VT260, part of the 500 kV line project of Nam Dinh I-Pho Noi Thermal Power Plant, involves many households. The successful implementation of the project is the result of propaganda, mobilization, and consensus of the people where the project passes through.

I think that the above construction unit's commitment to one thing and doing another not only affects the lives of the two households involved, but can also affect the mass mobilization work when constructing other projects.
