The road is narrow, does not meet requirements and poses potential traffic safety risks, especially in sections passing through densely populated areas.
Since May bridge connecting Kinh Mon town with Kim Thanh district and Trieu bridge connecting Kinh Mon town with Dong Trieu town (Quang Ninh) came into operation, it has connected the region, creating favorable conditions for Kinh Mon town people to exchange and develop the economy with localities inside and outside the province.
However, due to the advantage of having a bridge, the number of heavy trucks entering Highway 389 through Kinh Mon town has increased dramatically. The narrow road (see photo) does not meet the requirements and poses a potential risk of traffic safety, especially the sections through densely populated areas and school gates where traffic accidents are likely to occur.
Relevant levels and sectors are requested to pay attention to expanding Highway 389 from May Bridge to Trieu Bridge, creating favorable conditions for people to travel, developing socio-economy and ensuring traffic safety.
