Two traffic accidents occurred in one day at May Bridge (Hai Duong), killing two people.

At 2:00 p.m. on August 8, Mr. D.VH, born in 1991 in Van Duc ward (Chi Linh), drove a motorbike 34C1-487.10 on provincial road 389 from Kinh Mon to National Highway 5; behind the motorbike was Ms. HTL, born in 1994 in Nghia Tam commune, Van Chan district (Yen Bai). When reaching May bridge, in Thuong Vu commune (Kim Thanh), Mr. H. was not driving on the right side of the road, overtaking the vehicle in front in the same direction without ensuring safety, so he crashed head-on into a tractor trailer 15H-073.67 pulling a trailer 15RM 007.68 driven by Mr. QVĐ, born in 1990 in Duc Long commune, Nho Quan district (Ninh Binh) in the opposite direction.

As a result, Mr. H. died at the scene, Ms. HTL was injured and taken to Hai Duong General Hospital for emergency treatment, and both vehicles were damaged. The accident caused traffic congestion in the Cau May area.

Previously, at around 5:30 a.m. on August 8, Ms. D.TH, born in 1977 in Ninh Xa village, Le Ninh commune (Kinh Mon), drove a motorbike 34B2-711.24 on provincial road 389 from Kinh Mon to Kim Thanh. When she reached km 2+300 in May bridge area, Lo Xa village, Thang Long commune (Kinh Mon), she crashed into the bridge section on the right side of the road. As a result, Ms. H. was injured and taken to Hai Duong Provincial General Hospital for emergency treatment. At 9:00 a.m. the same day, Ms. H. died.
