The number of Lunar New Year train tickets sold by the railway industry is still large and passengers should go to the station or ticket agent to avoid buying fake tickets.
Railway industry continues to organize dozens of additional trains during Lunar New Year
To meet the increasing travel demand of passengers during the peak period of the Lunar New Year 2023, the railway industry continues to organize dozens of additional trains and open additional ticket sales to the Central provinces.
Accordingly, from January 18-26, 2023 (ie from December 27, Year of the Tiger to January 5, Year of the Cat), the Hanoi-Da Nang route will run additional trains SE19, TN32. Hanoi-Vinh will run trains NA3, NA4, NA7-NA10, NA12, NA 14; the Hanoi-Thanh Hoa route will run additional train TH2.
In the South, Saigon Railway Transport Joint Stock Company has planned to run 15 more trains from Saigon to Nha Trang, Dieu Tri, Tam Ky, Da Nang, Hue and vice versa during the Tet holiday from January 20 to January 25, 2023 (ie December 29 to January 4), providing about 8,000 more seats.
In addition, this unit also added 2,000 train tickets by adding more carriages to serve people returning home for the Lunar New Year 2023. Thus, the railway industry has added 10,000 Tet train tickets on the North-South route.
Currently, in the pre-Tet period, there are about 17,000 seats left from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi, including about 12,000 main tickets and 5,000 additional seat tickets, mainly train tickets from January 12 to January 14 and from January 19 to January 21, 2023 (from December 21 to 23 and 28 to 30 of the year of the Tiger).
After Tet, there are about 52,000 seats left on the afternoon train from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, with train tickets from January 22 to February 5, 2023 (from January 1 to January 15, Quy Mao year).
To ensure the rights to buy tickets, the railway also recommends that passengers do not buy tickets through intermediaries such as "brokers, black marketers", impersonating railway staff or tickets floating on the internet, but only buy tickets through the railway website, buy directly at ticket offices of stations or at railway ticket agents, buy through electronic applications to avoid buying fake tickets, tickets with incorrect passenger information, tickets with altered ticket prices and travel dates, so they are not valid for travel.
