Phuc broke into an FPT store in Da Nang and stole more than one billion VND in property, then went to Cambodia to gamble, but was investigated and arrested by the police.
On February 27, the Criminal Police Department (CSHS) of Da Nang City Police announced that it had just arrested a suspect for stealing property at FPT stores in Da Nang.
Previously, from November 25 to December 8, 2022, in Da Nang City, thieves broke into an FPT store to steal money and high-end mobile phones, with a total value of about 1.2 billion VND.
During the investigation, the Criminal Police Department of Da Nang City Police identified the suspect as Nguyen Huu Phuc (32 years old, residing in Quang Phong ward, Ba Don town, Quang Binh province).
Continuing the search, the detective discovered and arrested Phuc while he was hiding in Go Vap district (Ho Chi Minh City), and extradited him to Da Nang.

At the police station, Phuc confessed that on the night of December 8, 2022, he broke the door and safe of the FPT store on Ngo Quyen Street (Son Tra District, Da Nang City) to take 302 million VND and 30 iPhones (worth about 900 million VND), then fled to many localities in the Southern region to sell the property.
In addition to this case, Phuc confessed that on November 25, 2022, he broke into the FPT store on Dien Bien Phu Street (Da Nang City) to steal property. However, after breaking in, Phuc did not take any property.
The Investigation Police Agency of Da Nang City Police kept evidence including 19 iPhones of various types and a number of tools and vehicles Phuc used to commit the crime.
According to the police investigation, Phuc often went to Cambodia to gamble. After losing all his money, Phuc returned to Vietnam to steal property and then went back to Cambodia to continue gambling.
Currently, the Criminal Police Department of Da Nang City Police continues to investigate and consolidate documents and evidence for handling.
