On the afternoon of June 16, in Viet Hong commune, Thanh Ha District Farmers’ Association organized the “Golden Rice” Volleyball Tournament in Ha Bac area. This is the first unit in the province to organize a grassroots volleyball tournament.
The tournament had 4 teams from the Farmers' Associations of Hong Lac, Tan Viet, Viet Hong and Thanh Lang communes. Each team had 6 athletes competing. As a result, the Farmers' Association team of Tan Viet commune and the Farmers' Association team of Hong Lac commune will represent Ha Bac region to participate in the district-level tournament.
After Ha Bac area, the remaining 3 areas, Ha Tay, Ha Dong, Ha Nam, will organize competitions to select 4 teams to participate in the "Golden Rice" Volleyball Tournament organized by Thanh Ha District Farmers' Association this coming August.
This is an activity in response to the 13th Hai Duong Province "Golden Rice" Volleyball Tournament organized by the Hai Duong Province Farmers' Association in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism at the end of this year.
