The national excellent student selection team is determined to add to Hai Duong's golden record of achievements.

On the afternoon of December 17, the Department of Education and Training held a meeting to encourage teachers and students of the teams participating in the national high school excellent student selection exam for the 2024-2025 school year.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung affirmed that in recent years, the province's education and training has achieved many achievements. The scale of all levels and grades has been constantly consolidated and developed; facilities and equipment have been enhanced; the number of schools meeting national standards has increased year by year. The quality of education and training at all levels and grades has changed positively, both in mass education and key education. The work of discovering and nurturing excellent students has always achieved many high results in exams, competitions, and exchanges at all levels.

The National High School Excellent Student Competition for the 2024-2025 school year continues to be an opportunity to evaluate the intelligence of Hai Duong students with other provinces and cities across the country and internationally. At the same time, it is also an opportunity for the education and training sector of Hai Duong province in general, and Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted in particular, to continue to affirm the quality of education, training of key personnel and nurturing talents for the province and the country.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee wished the students of the teams to always maintain their spirit, be calm, confident, and maximize their abilities. At the same time, he believed that, with the hard training efforts of teachers and students during the past time, the student team participating in the national high school excellent student selection exam for the 2024-2025 school year of Hai Duong province will achieve high results, continuing to add to the golden record of achievements of the cultured and academic homeland of Hai Duong.

The national high school exam for the 2024-2025 school year is expected to take place at the end of December 2024 at Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted (Hai Duong City). Hai Duong has 110 students in 11 subjects participating, including: math, physics, chemistry, biology, information technology, literature, history, geography, English, French, and Russian.

In the national high school competition for excellent students in the 2023-2024 school year, Hai Duong had 108 candidates competing, winning a total of 89 prizes, an increase of 18 prizes compared to the previous school year, including 3 first prizes, 19 second prizes, 32 third prizes, and 35 consolation prizes. In terms of the number of prizes, Hai Duong ranked 5th nationwide, up 1 place compared to the previous school year. In terms of the quality of prizes, Hai Duong ranked 12th out of 63 provinces and cities, up 19 places.
