According to the Hai Duong Employment Service Center, in the first 6 months of 2024, there were 512 businesses with a need to recruit about 24,500 workers, an increase of 75 businesses and 5,000 workers compared to the same period last year. The main recruiting industries are garment, electronics... Due to the high recruitment demand, many businesses have launched "huge" incentives to attract workers. Tinh Loi Garment Company Limited is a large enterprise in the province in the garment sector with about 19,000 employees. In 2024, this enterprise will continue to put factory No. 3 in Nguyen Giap Industrial Park (Tu Ky) into operation, requiring the recruitment of a large number of workers. In addition to direct recruitment announcements, Tinh Loi Garment Company Limited also shares recruitment support information through employment service centers, departments, branches and sectors. A representative of the Human Resources Department (Tinh Loi Garment Company Limited) said that since the beginning of the year, the enterprise has recruited over 8,000 workers, reaching 70% of the plan. In order to ensure income for new garment workers, this enterprise has introduced a bonus policy of 9.5 - 11.5 million VND/person. Currently, the salary of workers at Tinh Loi Garment Company Limited is fluctuating from 13-20 million VND/person/month.

Due to the sudden increase in orders, Brother Vietnam Industrial Co., Ltd. (Tan Truong Industrial Park) is recruiting over 2,000 workers. Of which, production workers account for the majority. To ensure production and business activities, this unit has introduced many high-incentive policies to retain new workers. Specifically, employees, technicians, leaders, and workers who start working in July will receive a bonus of 6 million VND/person and receive an additional 50% of their basic salary to encourage increased production. Workers born in 2006 and who have just graduated from high school will receive an additional 1 million VND. In addition, officers and workers currently working at the company who introduce new employees will receive 4 million VND/person.

Sumidenso Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Dai An Industrial Park) is also recruiting about 2,000 workers. This unit commits to workers that they will have an average income of over 10 million VND/person/month. During the apprenticeship, workers will receive 100% of their salary along with many other allowances such as: transportation, housing, diligence... In addition, new workers will be rewarded 9 million VND/female worker and 6 million VND/male worker. This is also the "biggest" incentive that this enterprise has ever given to new workers.

Supply is difficult

In 2024, many enterprises in the province expanded their production and business activities, orders increased, causing the labor recruitment market to increase dramatically. Meanwhile, the local labor force was almost insufficient to meet the demand, leading to a situation where supply could not keep up with demand. Currently, labor supply units in Hai Duong are having to find labor sources in many provinces and cities but are facing many difficulties due to fierce competition. The fact that enterprises continuously launch good treatment policies for new workers is also to cope with the current labor shortage.

According to Mr. Nguyen Tuyen Huan, Director of Vietnam Human Resources Supply and Training Joint Stock Company (Cam Giang), there are currently 8 large enterprises that are in need of recruiting about 6,000 workers, an increase of 20% compared to the same period last year. However, up to now, the unit has only been able to meet 70% of the labor demand for these enterprises due to limited supply. "The current labor market is quite difficult because some localities are massively developing many large industrial parks and clusters. Currently, we have to go to remote areas to find labor. In addition to travel support, we also ensure food and accommodation for workers until they find suitable jobs," said Mr. Huan.

In the coming time, the demand for labor recruitment of enterprises in the province will continue to increase, especially at the end of the year. New industrial zones and clusters that are being completed will put great pressure on Hai Duong in terms of labor resources. The province needs to soon have solutions and reasonable support policies to help enterprises retain workers. In particular, building housing for workers is an urgent requirement and is of most concern to many people at present.
