The shortage of production components also affects the plans to launch new models of motorbike manufacturers in Vietnam in 2022. However, the presence of some new models that have appeared recently such as Yamaha Grande 2022, NVX 155, Sprint x Justin Bieber... along with completely new engine technology and appearance are still attractive to consumers.

Below are 5 notable motorbike models that have recently entered the Vietnamese market:

Yamaha Grande 2022

First launched in 2014, Yamaha Grande is currently one of the best-selling scooter models, competing with Honda SH Mode in the segment. The new generation Grande version introduced on September 22 is the most fuel-efficient product among scooters from 125cc and above (according to the Vietnam Register).

On the new version, Yamaha Grande has changed the front and rear design to be more impressive, all the lights are redesigned and use LED technology completely. The new design helps Yamaha Grande 2022 still very feminine but more sophisticated and luxurious.

In terms of technology features, Grande 2022 is also equipped with a series of utilities including: Y-connect (connecting car and phone), electronic clock face, phone charging port & storage compartment, 27-liter trunk...

The car is being distributed in 3 versions, of which the Premium and Limited versions will have additional ABS braking technology and smart key. The price of Grande 2022 ranges from 45.9-50.3 million VND.

Yamaha NVX 155 VVA 2022

Besides the Grande All-new just launched yesterday, Yamaha Vietnam also introduced to customers a limited color version for NVX 155.

In terms of design, the new Yamaha NVX retains the same design and features. The NVX's exterior is designed to be strong, sporty, and powerful. The vehicle has overall dimensions of length x width x height of 1,980mm x 700mm x 1,150mm, with a saddle height of 790mm.

Notable amenities of the Yamaha NVX 155 VVA 2022 include: Anti-lock braking system (ABS) on the front wheel, Smartkey, USB port in the front storage compartment, LED lighting system...

The limited edition NVX comes in four colors: Blue-black, silver-gray, black and red. The vehicle will be available at dealerships from November 2022 with a retail price of 55 million VND.

VinFast Evo 200

Although introduced in April, it was not until September 21 that the Vietnamese car company officially accepted deposits for the VinFast Evo 200 with 2 versions: Standard and Lite. The car is expected to be delivered to consumers by the end of the month.

The VinFast Evo 200 has a compact design with rounded lines, giving a dynamic, youthful feeling. The body and tail of the car are designed seamlessly, gradually tapering towards the back, creating a sense of lightness but still elegant, with a style similar to Italian cars.

The car is equipped with technological features such as full LED lighting system, connecting and controlling the car via phone application, with functions such as car positioning, automatic error diagnosis and car status display...

In terms of operation, VinFast Evo 200 applies LFP battery technology and is equipped with an in-hub motor located at the rear wheel, allowing it to travel at a maximum speed of 70km/h for the standard version, while the Lite version is limited to a maximum speed of 49km/h, suitable for students. In particular, the vehicle has the longest travel range in VinFast's product range of 205km for one charge (under operating conditions at a speed of 30km/h and a driver weighing 65kg).

Currently, the car is being offered for sale at VND22 million, excluding battery rental costs. In addition, customers can also buy and own the battery for life at a cost of VND19.9 million.

Aprilia SR GT 200

Aprilia (part of Piaggio) launched a small-format racing model called SR GT 200 at the end of July 2022. This is the third product with a capacity of less than 175cc that the Italian car company has brought to Vietnam, previously including RX 125 and SX 125.

The vehicle has a sporty design with a large front windshield and a high rear end accented by a pair of spring shock absorbers. This scooter model has modern equipment such as an electronic screen, Full-LED lights, ABS anti-lock braking system, Start & Stop temporary engine shutdown...

Aprilia SR GT 200 uses a 174 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder I-Get engine that produces 17.4 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 16.5 Nm at 7,000 rpm. This model has two standard and sport versions, priced at 97 and 99.5 million VND respectively. Aprilia SR GT 200 is in the same price range as Honda SH 150i but its customer base may be different.

Sprint Justin Bieber X Vespa

Piaggio has a well-established formula of adding special editions to its existing models. In mid-July, the Italian automaker launched the Sprint Justin Bieber X Vespa, a development of the standard Vespa Sprint.

The highlight of this scooter model is the main white paint color, appearing on most of the details on the body of the vehicle. In addition, the Italian car company also added some flame-simulating motifs. This is a scooter developed in collaboration with Canadian music star Justin Bieber, who often appears in white-toned clothes.
