Hanoi National University has 2 more field groups ranked in the world

In the 2024 ranking, Hanoi National University has 2 more ranked field groups compared to the 2023 ranking, increasing the number of ranked field groups to 8/11 field groups.

Two new groups of fields of Hanoi National University are ranked: Clinical and Health and Education. Of which, the Education group is evaluated for the first time by THE and achieved the world ranking of 401 - 500, being the first and only educational institution in Vietnam to be ranked. The Clinical and Health group is also evaluated for the first time by THE and has the ranking of 601 - 800.

The specific positions of the field groups of Hanoi National University in the 2024 ranking are as follows: Education ranked 401 - 500; Social Sciences ranked 501 - 600; Clinical and Health ranked 601 - 800; Business and Economics ranked 601 - 800; Life Sciences ranked 801 - 1000; Computer Sciences ranked 801 - 1000; Engineering ranked 801 - 1000; Physical Sciences - ranked 801 - 1000.

In the Clinical and Health field, along with Hanoi National University, there are 4 other Vietnamese training institutions ranked: Ton Duc Thang University, Duy Tan University, Ho Chi Minh City National University and Hue University.

In the Social Sciences and Business and Economics fields, Hanoi National University, along with three other training institutions in Vietnam, are ranked: Ton Duc Thang University, Duy Tan University and Ho Chi Minh City National University.

In the Computer Science and Engineering fields, Hanoi National University, along with four other training institutions in Vietnam, were ranked: Ton Duc Thang University, Duy Tan University, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, and Ho Chi Minh City National University.

In the Life Sciences and Physical Sciences groups, Hanoi National University and 5 other training institutions in Vietnam were ranked: Ton Duc Thang University, Duy Tan University, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Hue University and Ho Chi Minh City National University.

THE World University Ranking by Subject uses data sources taken from surveys conducted by THE, the Scopus database (owned by Elsevier Publishing House) and data provided by higher education institutions. In the 2024 ranking, THE used a new set of criteria (THE WUR 3.0) including 18 evaluation criteria with weights adjusted to suit each individual field group (an increase of 5 criteria compared to THE WUR 2.0 in previous rankings) in 5 criteria groups: Teaching; Research Environment; Research Quality; Industry and International Outlook.
