In recent times, the Veterans Association at all levels in the province has regularly focused on consolidating and perfecting the organization, building a team of cadres to meet requirements and tasks, contributing to building an increasingly clean and strong association.
Successful congresses of veterans at all levels create the foundation for the development of a strong and comprehensive association.
The province currently has 113,805 War Veterans Association members, operating in 1,426 branches. There are 319 grassroots associations and 14 upper-level associations. The highlight of this year is that all levels of associations have successfully organized congresses. The Executive Committee and leaders of all levels of associations have been supplemented and replaced, ensuring succession requirements.
The Kinh Mon town War Veterans Association has successfully organized the Congress of War Veterans at the grassroots level. The Executive Committee and leadership of the association have had many changes in personnel, but the town associations at all levels continue to excellently complete the assigned tasks such as developing the most members in the province, many typical war veterans helping each other develop the economy, building many "comradely love" houses... Together with the two districts of Tu Ky and Binh Giang, Kinh Mon town received the flag of the Central Association awarded to an excellent unit in the "Exemplary War Veterans" emulation.
The automobile assembly plant of Viet Trung International Joint Stock Company (Binh Giang) owned by veteran Pham Van Nhan, Vice President of the Veteran Entrepreneurs Association of Hai Duong province, regularly creates stable jobs for more than 400 workers.
"Thanks to good political and ideological preparation and action plans, the Executive Committee and leaders of all levels of the new War Veterans Association in the area quickly joined in, ensuring that the association organizations operate effectively," said Mr. Doan Duc Minh, Chairman of the War Veterans Association of Kinh Mon town.
Since the beginning of the year, the Veterans Association at the grassroots level has actively participated in the election of village and residential area heads. The whole province has 2,062 members elected to the Party cell committee, including 809 Party cell secretaries who are also village heads and 69 Party cell secretaries. Associations at all levels have focused on propagating and mobilizing members and people to continue building new rural areas, monitoring community activities and providing social criticism. Veterans have always been at the forefront of emulation movements such as "Skilled mass mobilization", "All people unite to build a cultural life", "Building cultural villages and residential areas", "Joining hands to protect the environment", "Building new rural areas and civilized urban areas"... Associations at all levels have promptly oriented ideology, mobilized people, cadres and members to implement the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State in site clearance, ensuring security, order and social safety...
During the year, the province admitted 1,281 new CCB members, raising the admission rate to nearly 96% of the total source. This year, the CCB Association of Tu Minh Ward (Hai Duong City) admitted 27 new members, the highest in the province. The Association is preparing procedures to admit 5 more members in the first quarter of 2023. Mr. Pham Van Duong, Vice Chairman of the CCB Association of Tu Minh Ward, shared: "New members are closely screened from the branch level, while also consulting comments from the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Party Committee. Effective membership development is due to the attraction of emulation movements of the CCB Association at all levels."
Veterans of Minh Duc commune (Tu Ky) actively apply technical advances to improve agricultural production efficiency.
In 2022, over 95% of the association's grassroots units will complete their tasks well and excellently; over 97% of the association's members will complete their tasks well and excellently, and over 95% of the families of war veterans will achieve the cultural title. The number of well-off and rich households will account for 65.24%, while the number of poor households will decrease from 11.58% to 2.79%. Up to now, 79/235 communes and wards no longer have poor war veteran households; the whole province no longer has war veterans living in temporary or leaky houses... The practical activities of the War Veterans Association at all levels will attract veterans. The whole province currently maintains 614 effectively operating clubs, with 154,706 veterans, and attracted an additional 5,024 veterans during the year. The Association of War Veterans and War Veterans Entrepreneurs has been established at the district level; clubs have been formed at the commune and village levels to support each other in developing household economies...
Colonel Dinh Van Truy, Chairman of the Provincial Association of War Veterans, affirmed: All levels of the Association of War Veterans in the province continue to innovate content and methods, improve the quality and effectiveness of association activities. The method of directing activities is strongly oriented towards the grassroots, directly with members. Promote emulation of exemplary war veterans, taking the lead in local and unit movements.
