A department has 27 civil servants and employees applying for early retirement.

On the afternoon of January 9, a leader of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DOLISA) of Thanh Hoa province confirmed that the department had just had 27 civil servants, public employees and workers voluntarily write applications for early retirement to facilitate the work of streamlining the apparatus according to Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, dated October 25, 2017 of the Party Central Committee.

Accordingly, among the 27 cases of early retirement applications, there are 6 civil servants, 17 public employees and 4 labor contracts. Of these, 1 person is the Deputy Head of the Department of Professional Affairs under the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs; 5 cases are Deputy Directors of units under the Department; 4 people hold the positions of head or deputy head of departments or faculties under the unit; 13 people are civil servants and public employees who do not hold leadership or management positions and 4 labor contracts.

Among those who applied for early retirement, there were many people who had many years of work left, but still volunteered to resign to create conditions for the work of arranging and streamlining the apparatus. For example: Mr. Mai Xuan Khoi, Deputy Head of the Department of Labor and Employment; Mr. Tran Viet Ty, Deputy Director of the Center for Social Work Services; Mr. Hoang Minh Thanh, Deputy Director of the Center for Nursing for People with Merits; Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien, Head of the Department of Case Management and Community Development (these people have 3-10 years of work left).

According to the roadmap, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Thanh Hoa province will merge with the Department of Home Affairs to become the Department of Home Affairs and Labor; transfer the functions, tasks and organization of the state management advisory apparatus in the fields of social protection, children, and prevention and control of social evils to the Department of Health; transfer the functions, tasks and organization of the state management advisory apparatus in the field of vocational education from the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to the Department of Education and Training; transfer the functions, tasks and organization of the state management advisory apparatus in the field of poverty reduction to the Ethnic Minorities Committee.

It is known that the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs has 9 specialized and professional departments and 12 affiliated public service units, with a total number of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of 707 people (including: 72 civil servants, 386 public employees and 249 labor contracts.

According to statistics, up to now, in Thanh Hoa, there have been 39 civil servants, public employees, and workers who have applied for early retirement. Among them, many are leaders and have many years of work left, but still volunteer to retire early to create conditions for the organization to be reorganized and streamlined.
