The highest score of this year's exam was 129/150, the lowest was 17/150, the average score was 76.5/150.
On June 6, the Hanoi National University Examination Center announced the score distribution of the 2024 HSA exam.
The highest score of this year's exam was 129/150, the lowest was 17/150, the average score was 76.5/150.
The High School Student Assessment (HSA) consists of 3 parts: Part 1 - Mathematics and data processing (50 questions, 75 minutes); Part 2 - Language-Literature (50 questions, 60 minutes); Part 3 - Science (50 questions, 60 minutes).
The total score of the test is 150, the official test time is 195 minutes. The above test structure has been implemented from 2021 onwards.
The test score distribution of 100,633 tests (including 32.2% taking the test for the second time) has a normal distribution with a median of 76.0/150. At scores 5 units apart (75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105, 110...) there is a clear jump to classify candidates for admission consideration.
The mean and median scores have remained relatively stable over the past three years despite an increase of approximately 15-25% in the number of HSA test takers each year.
The two female students with the highest score of 129/150 were Nguyen Thanh Ngoc (Kim Lien High School, Hanoi) and Nguyen Mai Truc (Chuong My A High School, Hanoi).
The next two candidates with the same score of 128/150 are: Tran Duy Hung (Nguyen Du High School, Thai Binh) and a student from Ninh Binh (identity not disclosed); followed by two candidates with a score of 127/150 are Tran Thi Nguyen Ha (Nguyen Du High School, Thai Binh) and Hoang Van Hoa (Vinh Chan High School, Phu Tho).
The percentage of candidates scoring above 110/150 is 0.8%; above 105/150 is 1.9%; above 100/150 is 4.5%; above 90/150 is 16.0%; from 80/150 and above is 38.6%; from 75/150 is 53.0%.
Based on the announced score spectrum, distribution statistics and exam score rankings, the Hanoi National University Examination Center predicts that the admission score based on HSA exam results will be equal to or lower than previous years, if the admission quota and methods of universities do not change.
The 2024 Hanoi National University's capacity assessment exam will be held in 6 sessions from March 23 to June 2, 2024 at 19 testing locations.
Statistics on the number of candidates in provinces and cities taking the exam in 2024 show that Hanoi has the largest number of candidates, followed by Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Thanh Hoa, Hai Duong, Nghe An, Hung Yen, Hai Phong, Vinh Phuc, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang...
The total number of registrations in 2024 was 104,575, of which 96.2% attended the exam; 21 candidates were disciplined for violating regulations.
The score reports of the final high school student assessment exam in 2024 were sent to candidates from June 4.
