Chi Linh police prosecuted the General Director of the Dutch Milk Joint Stock Company for producing and trading counterfeit goods.

At the end of 2022, the Department of Environmental Crime Prevention and Control (Ministry of Public Security) initiated criminal proceedings against the case of production and trading of counterfeit food products at the Ha Lan Milk Joint Stock Company, located at 335 Tran Cung, Co Nhue ward, along with the company's branches and warehouses.

After consolidating the case file, the Environmental Crime Prevention Police Department handed over the case to the Investigation Police Agency of Chi Linh City Police to handle according to regulations.

During the investigation, the police collected 67 product samples from 33 types of products of the Ha Lan Milk Joint Stock Company. The appraisal results showed that 65 out of 67 product batches had quality indicators below 70%, with a total quantity of goods of 29,400 cans/boxes of milk and an invoice value of more than 4.1 billion VND.

The investigation results determined that, afterbuildHolland Milk factory is located at km39, National Highway 18, Cong Hoa Ward (Chi Linh City). Vuong is the one who decides on the selection of raw materials, suppliers, quantity, types, and payment. Along with that, he himself comes up with the mixing formula, changes the ingredients, adds or subtracts the proportions of raw materials compared to the published documents through production orders and directs employees to follow the available formula.

Vuong runs production mainly remotely via computer network, Zalo in groups between the General Director and employees.

Vuong was fully aware that the production and trading of poor quality food products, with quality indicators reaching less than 70% of the declared and labeled levels, caused the products to no longer have the features, effects, and uses as stated in the declaration documents confirmed by competent authorities. Along with that, there was a risk of affecting the health of consumers. Although he knew that the above actions were illegal, for the sake of profit and reducing production costs, Vuong still did it regardless.

The police also clarified that Do Minh Thu, an employee of the Dutch Milk Joint Stock Company, arbitrarily edited two test results and forged documents from authorities to legalize the products.

During the investigation, the Chi Linh City Police Investigation Agency separated the crimes of Vuong and Thu into different criminal cases.

Thu was prosecuted for the crime of forging seals and documents of agencies and organizations and the crime of using fake seals or documents of agencies and organizations.

Recently, the People's Court of Chi Linh City brought Thu to trial and sentenced her to a total of 5 years and 2 months in prison for the above crimes.
