On the morning of July 11, the Government Inspectorate held a national online conference to review the work of the past 6 months and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2024.
Speaking at the conference, comrade Doan Hong Phong, member of the Party Central Committee and Inspector General of the Government, requested the Inspectorate to continue to effectively implement the Government's resolutions and work programs in the spirit of "discipline, responsibility, proactiveness, timeliness, accelerated creativity, sustainable efficiency"; strongly innovate leadership, direction and operation methods, create changes and strive to excellently complete all tasks.
Continue to closely follow the 2024 inspection program orientation, requirements and directions of the Central Steering Committee on anti-corruption and anti-negativity, the Government, the Prime Minister, heads of administrative agencies at all levels and the actual situation to continue to organize implementation, complete the inspection plan and unexpected tasks.
The Inspector General requested the inspection sector to focus on advising on the synchronous implementation of tasks related to citizen reception, handling complaints and denunciations. Continue to effectively implement the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity in accordance with the direction of the Central Steering Committee; Provincial Steering Committees and legal regulations on preventing and combating corruption and negativity. Continue to effectively implement the 2022 Inspection Law and decrees and circulars guiding its implementation, especially new contents. Improve the effectiveness of coordination, ensure close and smooth coordination between the inspection agency and departments, ministries, branches and localities, especially with agencies in the internal affairs sector.
According to the Government Inspectorate's report, in the first 6 months of 2024, the whole industry has carried out 3,910 administrative inspections and 58,025 specialized inspections and examinations. Through the inspection, economic violations of more than VND 92,000 billion and 292.5 hectares of land were discovered; of which, it was recommended to recover more than VND 59,400 billion and 24.9 hectares of land; to deduct and exclude from the settlement value due to non-compliance with regulations and to request competent authorities to consider and handle more than VND 33,300 billion and 252.5 hectares of land.
The Inspectorate has issued 49,982 decisions to sanction administrative violations of organizations and individuals with a total fine of more than VND 2,000 billion; recommended consideration and administrative handling of 856 groups and 3,862 individuals; transferred 94 cases and 73 subjects to the investigation agency for further consideration and handling.
In the first 6 months of 2024, the Hai Duong Provincial Inspectorate conducted 67 administrative inspections (61 planned inspections and 6 surprise inspections) and 198 specialized inspections and checks; 41 administrative inspections and 167 specialized inspections were completed at the unit. Through inspections and checks, economic violations were detected with an amount of more than 33.9 billion VND; administrative violations were fined more than 3.7 billion VND.
State administrative agencies at all levels received 3,941 citizens coming to make complaints, denunciations, recommendations, and reflections, an increase of 159 times compared to the same period in 2023.
State administrative agencies at all levels in the province received 4,328 complaints, denunciations and requests; processed 4,310 applications, of which 2,951 were eligible for processing, an increase of 489 applications compared to the same period in 2023.
