President To Lam meets with officials of the Office of the President

Speaking at the meeting, President To Lam sincerely thanked the Vice President for his warm and friendly reception; leaders, officials and staff of the Office of the President. President To Lam affirmed that at all times, the President in each term has made great efforts to fully and effectively perform his duties and powers as prescribed by the Constitution. The results of the President's work in each term have contributed significantly to the entire Party, people and army in promoting the tradition of patriotism, the will and strength of great national unity, strengthening the building and rectification of the Party and a clean and strong political system; comprehensively and synchronously promoting the cause of Renovation, socio-economic development, improving the material and spiritual life of the people; resolutely fighting against corruption and negativity; consolidating and strengthening the national defense and security potential, firmly protecting the independence, sovereignty, unity, territorial integrity and sacred sovereignty over the sea and islands of the Fatherland. At the same time, promote foreign relations and international integration more and more deeply, enhancing Vietnam's position in the region and the world.

The President was pleased to know that, although it was re-established more than 30 years ago, in fact, the Office of the President has had over 75 years of development and growth, and has been honored to receive many noble awards from the Party and the State. Over the years, with the attention, leadership and direction of the Party and the State, directly from the President and Vice Presidents of each period, the close and effective coordination of ministries, branches, localities and the support and assistance of all classes of people, the Office of the President has increasingly developed in all aspects.

The outstanding results are proactively and effectively organizing the advisory work to comprehensively serve the President and Vice President in all domestic and foreign affairs; inspecting and urging the implementation of the President and Vice President's instructions; promptly and thoughtfully implementing the receptions, business trips and working sessions at home and abroad of the President and Vice President. The coordination between the Office of the President and relevant departments, ministries, branches and localities, especially with the Central Party Office, the Office of the General Secretary, the Government Office and the Office of the National Assembly, is increasingly close, in-depth and brings about many practical results.

The President emphasized that after nearly 40 years of renovation, our country has achieved many great and important achievements in all fields of economy, society, national defense, security, foreign affairs and international integration, as General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong affirmed: Our country has never had such a foundation, potential, position and international prestige as today. To continue those glorious achievements and successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party, the President said that it is necessary to have the participation of the entire political system; in which, the role of strategic advisory agencies such as the Office of the President is very important. That requires the Office of the President to constantly make active contributions with the responsibility, dedication, diligence, creativity and initiative of each cadre and civil servant. Along with that, it is always necessary to fully grasp the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws; Actively grasp, analyze, and synthesize information on domestic and international situations to advise and serve the President and Vice President to achieve the highest efficiency and best quality.

Recalling his oath-taking and inauguration speech before the National Assembly, compatriots and voters nationwide, the President affirmed his absolute loyalty to the Party's ideals and goals, wholeheartedly serving the Fatherland and the people; worthy successor of previous generations, striving to fulfill well the duties of President according to the provisions of the Constitution and all tasks assigned by the Party, State and people.

“Being trusted by the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, headed by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to nominate me as a candidate, and trusted by the National Assembly to be assigned the task of President, I hope to always receive the attention, coordination, and assistance of central and local agencies, especially the advisory and assisting role of the Office of the President,” said President To Lam.

The President expressed his hope and belief that the Office of the President will continue to promote its fine traditions, strive to overcome difficulties and challenges, gain more outstanding achievements, and make worthy contributions to the cause of national construction and defense.

On this occasion, President To Lam thanked the comrades in the Central Public Security Party Committee and the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security for their support, assistance, and coordination in completing the tasks during his long time working in the Public Security force.

The President requested that the officials and employees of the Office of the President continue to do their jobs well according to their assigned tasks and positions; at the same time, he hoped to receive advice and suggestions to successfully fulfill the important responsibilities entrusted to him by the Party, State and people.
