At the invitation of the Royal Family of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, on the morning of May 4, President Vo Van Thuong led a Vietnamese delegation leaving Hanoi to attend the coronation ceremony of King Charles III of England in the United Kingdom.
The President's working trip this time is a high-level foreign activity of great significance, affirming the position and role of our country in the region and the world.
The trip aims to continue implementing the foreign policy of the 13th Party Congress on comprehensive and extensive international integration and Directive 25 of the Secretariat on promoting and elevating multilateral diplomacy.

According to Vietnamese Ambassador to the UK Nguyen Hoang Long, this is the second visit to the UK by our President in nearly two decades, in the context of the relationship between Vietnam and the UK being at its best stage of development ever.
In particular, in 2023, the two countries are celebrating the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations with many meaningful, rich and exciting activities in many regions across Vietnam and the UK.
Accompanying the President on this foreign trip were Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son; Vietnamese Ambassador to the UK Nguyen Hoang Long; Deputy Head of the Office of the President Phan Thi Kim Oanh; Assistant to the President Duong Quoc Hung and leaders of a number of ministries and branches.
