Select Kinh Mon town to organize the district-level Sports Festival

On the morning of October 29, the Steering Committee of the 10th Hai Duong Provincial Sports Congress 2025-2026 met to discuss the plan to organize the congress.

Concluding the meeting, comrade Nguyen Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee affirmed that the Sports Congress at all levels of Hai Duong province towards the 10th Provincial Sports Congress is a major campaign, aiming to improve the achievements of widely popularized sports; discover and select talented young athletes to supplement the province's gifted athlete training lines and the forces of localities competing in the Provincial Sports Congress. The Sports Congress at all levels must truly be a great festival for the masses, an occasion to demonstrate the powerful force of local and provincial sports...

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the members of the Steering Committee to promote a high sense of responsibility and coordinate to successfully organize congresses at all levels according to plan.

The Steering Committees of districts, towns and cities organize the implementation in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the instructions of the province to ensure solemnity, economy and efficiency. Prepare all aspects in accordance with the set goals and requirements. Districts, towns and cities introduce to select 1 locality as a model congress in the whole district.

The 10th Provincial Sports Congress must be organized with a solemn scale and ritual, commensurate with the cultural traditions of the province. It must arouse the heroic tradition of the homeland, demonstrate the socio-economic development achievements of the province in recent years; ensure safety, security and order throughout the organization process.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism advises on the development of a detailed plan to implement the opening ceremony. Advises on the framework regulations for competitions at the Provincial Sports Festival according to the guidance of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in order to select talented athletes for training to compete in high-performance sports...

Through discussion, the Steering Committee assigned Nam Sach district to select Hiep Cat commune to organize a model congress at the commune level; and Kinh Mon town to organize a model congress at the district level to gain common experience throughout the province.

According to the guidelines for organizing Sports Congresses at all levels towards the 10th Provincial Sports Congress in 2026, strive for 100% of communes, wards and towns to organize congresses; 100% of districts, towns and cities and the two public security and military sectors to successfully organize congresses.

The commune-level congress will take place from February to August 2025. The district-level congress and the military and police sectors will be held from September to December 2025. Regarding the provincial-level Sports Congress, the opening ceremony is expected to take place in April 2026 at the Dong Xu Cultural Center Square, including 14 delegations: 12 districts, towns, cities and 2 military and police sectors. The competition time for the provincial-level congress events is from December 22, 2025 to July 15, 2026 and is divided into 2 phases, including the following events: cross-country, athletics, table tennis, badminton, ethnic wrestling, tennis, chess, pencak silat (phase 1); swimming, men's volleyball, karate, men's 7-a-side football, traditional martial arts, volleyball, rowing, folk dance, shuttlecock and chess (phase 2).
