Big fire at Thanh Phat T&T Construction and Trading Company Limited in Kim Thanh

A representative of the People's Committee of Ngu Phuc Commune (Kim Thanh) said that at around 8:00 p.m. on October 21, a large fire broke out at Thanh Phat T&T Construction and Trading Company Limited in Duong Mong Village, Ngu Phuc Commune. The fire started from piles of scrap piled outside, in front of the company's factory and spread to other piles of scrap.

At the time of the fire, there was no one in the company. At nearly 9:00 p.m. the same day, the fire truck of the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Search and Rescue Police Department (Hai Duong Provincial Police) arrived at the scene and deployed to put out the fire.

By 9:30 p.m., the fire had spread and burned the entire wood-plastic manufacturing factory with nearly 5,000 square meters next door.

Thanh Phat T&T Construction and Trading Company Limited rents factories and warehouses to collect scrap, then recycle and produce plastic sheets. The company will test the plastic recycling cutting and rolling system from November 2022.

This company was once fined 5.8 million VND by Kim Thanh District Police for administrative violations and required to temporarily suspend operations and correct violations by the end of 2022.

Despite being administratively sanctioned by the authorities, required to temporarily suspend operations, and forced to correct violations, Thanh Phat T&T Construction and Trading Company Limited continued to operate without correcting the violations. By the end of July 2024, the company had stopped operations and moved machinery out of the factory. However, a large amount of scrap was still piled up outside the factory.
