"Handbook" of Hong Du commune party members

In 2010, when he was elected as Party Secretary and Head of the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of Hong Thai Commune (later merged into Hong Du Commune), comrade Nguyen Duc Trang directed the development of documents to serve the activities of the Party cell and mass organizations. To have documents and information for the newsletter, on the 25th of every month, the focal points of the Party cells, socio-political organizations, and unions in the commune report the results of the implementation of tasks in the month to the editorial board. Comrade Nguyen Duc Trang, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hong Du commune said: "The reporting of the Party cells and organizations as documents also helps to evaluate the level of activities of that unit in the month. This is also a basis for the Party Committee of the commune to build resolutions close to reality."

120 documents are issued periodically every month to serve the activities of the Party cell and organizations with current contents such as new policy announcements; Party building work; socio-economic development situation, security and order in the country, in the province, district and commune. The Party Committee of Hong Du commune also issued 350 documents by topic in the month commemorating the day Uncle Ho visited and the founding day of the Party Committee of the commune.

Over nearly 15 years, the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of Hong Du commune has published more than 25,000 copies of the document. Those eligible for the document are commune officials, civil servants, Party cell secretaries, grassroots party cells, village front work committees, a number of former leaders, retired veterans, and party members exempted from party cell activities. With information that is close and practical to party members, the information from the reports is edited to attract readers. Mr. Trinh Viet Bao, Party cell secretary and head of Tam Tuong village said: "Thanks to the document, party members in the party cell can grasp basic and current information. The party cell does not have to elaborate but focuses on the tasks that need to be done."

According to Mr. Trinh Anh Bat, a party member in Tam Tuong village Party Cell, the document is very useful, helping party members to promptly grasp local information. "This is like a handbook for us party members with a lot of useful information. Many times I have borrowed the document from the Party Cell to read and study at home," Mr. Bat shared.

As the person directly in charge of developing, maintaining, editing and printing the document, Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Committee of Hong Du Commune Nguyen Duc Trang is highly appreciated by Party members in the commune. This is one of the outstanding achievements of Comrade Trang. Recently, he was a typical example nationwide in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in 2023, and was honored to receive the Uncle Ho Badge.

Comrade Truong Thi Nguyen, Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of Ninh Giang District Party Committee, assessed that the document serving the activities of the Party cell and mass organizations of the Propaganda Department and the Party Committee of Hong Du Commune was scientifically implemented, providing a lot of useful and current information for Party members in the commune. This is the only locality in the district to publish this document and maintain order and efficiency.
